KATHERINE THE GREAT

"KATY"

Katy found me in July of 1994, she was roaming the streets of New Brunswick at 3 A.M. and I took her home with me. It wasn't until 4 days later that her owners started posting "lost dog" signs, turns out she was a fraternity dog, and she had 5 owners in the past year. Realizing that I could provide her a more stable home, theyallowed me to keep her, and she was with me for the last 9 yrs.

Last Fall, Katy was diagnosed with kidney failure, and was hospitalized for a few days. She was doing really well until the last week of March 2003. I had her hospitalized again for four days, but unfortunately, I was never able to bring her back home.

REST IN PEACE MY BELOVED CANINE!

?-1992 - APRIL 1, 2003

ATTEMPTING TO FILL HER SHOES IS "PHOEBE REDBONE: THE WONDER HOUND"

Phoebe is a 10-month old Red Bone Coon Hound who was a rescue from Maine. Severely malnourished and neglected, she suffers from a neurological condition which makes her walk like Scooby Doo, and prevents her from being able to walk backwards without landing on her butt. I played with her at the Animal Hospital for an hour immediately after putting Katy to sleep, and well, I saw how much she needed me, and decided to provide her with a good home. She is extremely sweet, which helps with my patience in trying to housebreak her! It is strange how the series of events led her into my life, but I knew I had to take care of her, now that Katy no longer needed me.

Please adopt and do not support pet stores, or irresponsible breeders - there are already too many lovable creatures out there who need homes!! THANKS!!
